steam charts dirty bomb This is a topic that many people are looking for. cfcambodge.org is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, cfcambodge.org would like to introduce to you RIP Dirty Bomb – Another Free FPS Comes To An End. Following along are instructions in the video below:
Dirty Bomb was one of the best Free FPS games of the last few years… but the end is near as Splash Damage reveal that support for DB is coming to an end. I first heard about Dirty Bomb from Total Biscuit 3 years ago and since have played the title off and on over the years. The Movement And Feeling of the title were unique, and offered a great alternative to the other big Free FPS titles. It’s sad to see one of the best free FPS games end but it’s also understandable when you look at the Dirty Bomb population on Steam Charts. So play Dirty Bomb in 2018 while you still can and while there still remains a community in place as I think we are at the beginning of the end for this title.

It ain’t so another free fps is going the way of the dodo and and this time it’s dirty bomb a game. I heard about three years ago. The late great totalbiscuit this free to play fps game man was truly something special.
And it’s one of the two free fps games that i’ve been recommending here on the channel for the last couple of years. Alongside ironsight while i was waiting the estimated 70 hours for the fallout. 76 beta to install last night.
Yeah the pc player launched.
It was a disaster i found an article from splash damage. The creator of dirty bomb. The developers that i haven’t seen getting hardly any traction online.
What they had to say here. And i quote. It’s with a heavy heart that after a bug fix build ships in the upcoming weeks.
We will be ending live development and updates on dirty bomb.
The bottom line is that we can’t financially justify continuing to work on the game that we love we know. Many of you love db and still play it religiously. So we will keep servers up for you to enjoy as long as there are a meaningful number of players using them and supported regions and you know i’ll let you read the whole article.
If you want the detail splash damage wrote a pretty honest and genuine post down there. But kind of sad. It’s kind of a bit of a bummer and i’m bringing this up to you guys because if you hadn’t had the chance to play it i think we were entering probably the last few months where dirty bomb is still going to have somewhat of an active population it maybe even the last few weeks.
If we look at the steam charts this game used to occupy a much more healthier player space around 3000.
Daily players and really since this announcement and since september. We’ve seen that drop and decline. Quite a bit into below the 1000 region.
And it can be understandable continuing live. Support and updates. When you have such a small player base.
I mean you can’t imagine that you know when you have a 24 hour peak of almost 700 players how many of those players are buying the packs and supporting this game.
One made dirty bombs stand out. And what made it special to me was two things the movement and the shooting. The movement was very fast.
I loved shooters that just give you the sense like the old doom. And the original half life. Did.
Where you just are a speed demon here that with shooting that had the gratifying hit markers.
I think back to the first call of duty that you played when you landed the shots. And you heard you know hitmarker. See it just kind of felt good and over time.
I think call of duty lost that sense dirty bomb. Always had it like landing your shots. In this game.
Feel genuinely good.
It’s kind of a different feeling a shooter as well in terms of just the time to kill. And the different mercs and the whole way the game plays out was just enjoyable. I never thought that this game would ever take off or reach like crazy levels of popularity.
But it has been one of two free fps games. I’ve recommended on the channel here for a few years. The other one being iron sight one thing i want to applaud splash damage on is the fact that they’re gonna be refunding anybody.
Who purchased the all merc packed dlc so long as you you know bought it anytime.
Between you know the past and january 31st. That money will go back into your steam wallet and the unlocked marks will remain in your account. That is one of those things that you don’t generally see from developers is refunding dlc like this so i think that’s a nice move one of those things that will be remembered.
So dirty bomb has a hole and the free fps genre. This demonstrates totally where you have to strike a balance between the monetization model and your player base. I always felt conflicted with dirty bomb as the price point for every purchase just felt too high and a bit confusing to me.
Maybe. I never played enough dirty bomb to actually get aquainted or a good sense of how to build up the currency to do this. But first impressions mean a whole lot.
And i never felt motivated to push a purchase towards dirty bomb. Even though i really enjoyed the game price points felt just a little bit too high. I think even more important for a free fps versus the monetization model is the marketing that goes into these titles as gaming continues to grow more and more good free options are available to players.
And unless you are front and center.
Showcasing your game. And trying to draw people into your community and build up that player base. It’s just going to remain a steady small community that drifts off and disappears over time.
And i can’t really remember much of a dedicated marketing push for dirty bomb across youtube across twitch anything like that i’m sure there were campaigns. But i’m just saying if you are going to release a free fps you’re gonna have to have a very dedicated marketing campaign that goes on throughout the lifespan of the game continually trying to reach out to new players and bring them on board and let them try out your free title my best wishes to everybody. It’s splashdown.
