This is paul paul is wondering should i play magic the gathering arena or magic. Magic. The gathering online.
Hello buddy old pal let’s just check it out shall let’s look at magic. The gathering arena first look at these graphics do you like demons boom. We got demons do you like angels need some angels in your life.
Not going to church enough worms. Yeah. We got worms pretty cool right what i like dinosaurs.
A lot any of those everyone likes dinosaurs yeah we got those too just oh nice i got this really cool commander deck. Where i gets a comma out and i basically recreate drastic park every game it’s so much fun. Yeah yeah i’m sorry to cut you off right.
There.

Here’s the thing arena doesn’t really support commander or brawl arena. It really supports standard in drafting sealed. You know limited it occasionally rotates some singleton formats.
That’s it well for now. I’m sure. There’s more coming in the future in the near future the graphics are cool.
But if i can’t play commander even brawl would be nice. It’s kind of unfortunate. I agree.
It’s it’s awkward now isn’t it yeah okay. But wait something positive about arena is that you can grind for cards and golds you can get all the packs you want and all the cards you need to build all the decks you want to test out all nice. So i can easily build some new decks and then try them out with my friends and just hang out and meet new friends and go into like test rooms and chat rooms and stuff not quite you can challenge your friends.
There’s not really like a friends.

List or a chat room or cues like for testing specifically. But there are challenges you can use to build up a collection and the wildcards are pretty cool. Oh.
I mean okay well what cards do you to start with well. When you open your free account on arena. You get five decks.
One for each color. And then you can play challenges to unlock some pretty decent pre con decks. I mean they’re pretty solid as it is honestly.
But fair enough. But i guess i still really just want to play commander you know okay if you really want to play commander we got to move on to magic the gathering online. This is where mtg.
Oh really shines here there is a landing page.

Where you can see what your friends are online. You can see what events are coming up in tournaments. You can always explore your collection and go to the play lobbies and buy stuff in the store and trade with bots eventually it supports just about any major format you can play with any card ever made in magic basically okay cool.
So how do i grind out cards on mtg. Oh with a credit card oh. I have to i have to pay for all my cards.
Yeah you have to start buying the cards you want i mean you get a decent collection after you pay the 10 sign up fee. But the prices are often significantly lower than paper you can play legacy for less than the price of a car that’s a good starting point wait i got i got two pages to join yeah. Ten bucks.
But it gives you cards and gives you some free points you can get familiar with the interface there’s no monthly fee all right if i already own the paper version or if i buy the paper version cards am i gonna get codes for my empty geo account or any of these online ones no paying for the cards aside and paying to sign up you can play in the queue. As you want depending on the strength of your deck. You can draft with real humans.
And there’s also a friends list so you can play anytime that your friends are available.

And actually know they’re online. And you can play for free anytime. You want on that platform.
So i’d say the ten bucks is worth it fair enough. I hear you so show me this premium product let me see what these dinosaurs look like okay. Here’s me playing a creature now mmm that’s that’s it yeah.
But look the lands tap a full 90 degrees. Yeah that was that’s definite one of my top concerns all right i know it rain is literally punching in the face fun. And you can play worms and hear their roar.
But our opponent literally explodes you know that’s a lot to compete with yeah. I mean i get that that’s cool all right how does combat look on mtg. Oh yeah in magic.
The gathering online.

This super cool red section pops up and you get to see it pass through each phase as shown by that circle. And when you win or lose you see a popup message. Okay okay so let me make sure i got this straight.
If i want to draft with humans or play my dinosaurs and anything other than standard. I have to use a platform that looks like it was around when dinosaurs still walk the earth nailed. It and then magic.
The gathering arena lets me draft with robots i have to play with. Strangers 999 of the time and will let me grind for the most modern cards. But i can’t actually play modern on the platform absolutely crushed it well it seems magic.
The gathering arena is the wave of the future. So even if it’s in its infancy. What about the economy can i sell my cards on there can i trade them up or something how much of these wild cards worth there’s no economy for arena at the moment do you have any other questions.
Oh yeah.

I got tons more questions okay and that’s all the time. We have here folks. I really appreciate you watching if you enjoyed this video.
