‘s going on boys and girls what’s up world austin john plays here and and today. We’re gonna be taking a look at the brand new nintendo switch vouchers this is my first recording in the new studio. Which is an acoustically treated and there’s tools everywhere.
But just ignore that for them yesterday. We have to take a look at super mario maker. 2.
Coming out for the nintendo. So it’s june 28th. They also really tried to push the online service in that you’re gonna get a bundle of super mario maker.
And the online service.
And it’s 70 and you save. 10 with that however exclusive to the people who have the online service. You now have the option for nintendo switch game vouchers for a limited time i’m logged into my nintendo comm over here and basically what it is is you pay 9999.
Hundred bucks and you get to download two games digitally for the nintendo switch is your option. If you want to preload them or if you want to purchase something that’s already out it’s completely up to you also there’s no time limit. So you could buy them now and redeem a game a year from now if we take a look at the voucher compatible games.
Which just sounds like such a weird. Title there’s games such as one to. Switch which is 4999.
And then you have full price games like super mario maker.
2. That doesn’t come out. Yet also breath of the wild mario kart.
8. Deluxe mario odyssey splatoon twos armed xenoblade been at a2 digital version sushi striker things like that now obviously if you were to pay 9999. And choose to buy one to switch which i never recommend anyone do and then also sushi striker both are 4999.
That comes to a total of 99 dollars and 98 cents. So if you did that you’d lose one penny. It’s actually more expensive to get the vouchers so obviously that’s not what he’s supposed to do he’s supposed to get the 60.
Game so anything that’s 5999.
So let’s say for example. You just picked up the nintendo switch you have the online service and then you want to get breath of the wild and mario odyssey. You could do that and save about 20 bucks.
Which is fantastic the problem is it’s not fantastic one you get a digital only download and you don’t get the physical copy. I’m a big fan of physical copies of games. I have some of them over here worse than that is so on amazon you can get legend of zelda breath of the wold for 52 dollars and 15 cents five dollars shipping for some reason.
It’s not prime eligible o cuz. It’s used and it’s sold from someone else. However if we were to look for the legend of zelda breath of the wild and maybe call a certain video game stopping place that sells used games.
Let’s see how much it costs.

I mean.
It was game of the year. That makes sense and with their store based rewards program. It comes out to about 49.
The same price as the game voucher. But most importantly you’re getting a physical super mario odyssey on the other hand is a completely different story searching on amazon for the use section. It starts at like 40 bucks.
So after tax and shipping. It’s like 43 and then it’s 47 48. 49.
So there’s a very good chance that you can find a physical copy of mario odyssey for less than 50 bucks xenoblade.
2. Which is on the list you could get it new and used from about 40 bucks mario cart a deluxe also held its value up so it’s like 48 69 pokemon. Let’s go pikachu.
Oh is prime gible for 45. So that’s weird or you could get it digitally for 60. But you could get it brand new sealed for 45.
It when it comes to this there’s a lot of games that are kind of like you’re not saving any money for anything that’s currently out granted this is aimed at one specific audience. One you don’t want physical to you want a game as soon as it comes out so. Say.
For example you want super mario maker.
As soon as it comes out or luigi’s mansion. 3. Or pokemon sword or shield or something like that and you want it day.
One and you have a few extra bucks. Now then yes. It is worth it for any legacy games that are already out you’re usually better off other means.
Whether it’s amazon or looking for a used game or whatever else when it comes to digital only purchases. It is the best deal if you’re someone who does not want any physical games for their switch. If you do everything digital.
If you are one of the mad lads who went out and spent five hundred dollars on the brand new one terabyte micro sd card compatible for the switch by the way.
I use the four hundred gigabyte micro sd card. That’s on sale always on amazon if you ever need massive storage for your nintendo. Switch it’s fifty 699.
I’ve seen this drop down to like the 45 ish. 50. Ish area and guaranteed if you’re gonna wait until you know black friday.
I’m gonna see if those prices go down significantly more but only if you’re that person who wants it all digital. Which there’s usually never discount on nintendo’s digital games than it is worth your money other than that not great i just think. It’s fantastic that this is how far they are going to push the online service now granted.
This is exclusive to if you have the online service.
Essentially you pay. 20 a year for the online service and now they’re like hey we’ll give you 20 in savings. If you buy two games brand new and that’s the justification of it so essentially if you think about it that way it’s a wash you’re getting the online service for free.
So stop complaining about it getting access to all of the classic nes games that they have on there. Which there’s more popping up all the time and special versions of the games. That give you different power ups or different moves.
Etc like that and then you also get compatibility with the nintendo switch mobile app. So it’s a great deal the online service and like i don’t know why people are complaining still on the microsoft website six months of xbox live is 40. What’s gold.
I don’t know if there’s a difference between the different colors. Oh. And then you also get touches 99.
Yeah. There’s there’s no reason to not have the online service. They’re trying to save you money they really are and like you could go above and beyond and get the mario maker plus.
The online service and save another 10 bottom line is no one should complain about the online online service. They’re doing everything in their power to justify its price and its necessity to play online.
